The Italian magazine Panorama together with the Italian Business & Investment Initiative organize from October 31st to November 2nd a three-days event dedicated to the excellence of Made in Italy. Wine and food, business, fashion, energy, services, art, culture, sustainability: these are the keywords to connect the Italian business leaders and institutions with the potential American investors. “This is Italy” will host, in different locations in New York City, professionals and celebrities from Italy including the tenor Vittorio Grigolo, chef Vito Mollica, Andrea Pirlo, Pietro Salini (CEO Salini-Impregilo), Umberto Tossini (CHCOC Lamborghini), Claudio Domenicali (CEO Ducati), Gianmario Verona (Rector, Bocconi University), Tommaso Dragotto (President, Sicily by car), Corrado Castrovillari (Councilman city, Spoleto), Valentina Aprea (Minister for education and work, Regione Lombardia), Catiuscia Marini (President, Regione Umbria), Stefano Bonaccini (President, Regione Emilia Romagna), Roberto Maroni (President, Regione Lombardia), Berardo Paradiso (President, IACE) and Domenico Arcuri (CEO Invitalia).

Also on Wednesday November 1st at Eataly Downtown will be officially presented Gustoso, a project that involves IBS Italia as strategic partner to approach the U.S. market.

Wednesday, November 1

8:30 am, THINK OF ITALY: Workshop dedicated to Manufacturing Services and R&D in collaboration with IB&II at the Down Town Association

11 am, THINK OF ITALY: Workshop dedicated to Food in collaboration with IB&II, at the Down Town Association. Followed by product tasting from Gustoso.

1 pm, PARTY OF ITALY: Special wedding Food & Fashion, in love with Isaia at the Urbani Truffles Academy.

6.30 pm, TASTE OF ITALY: Cooking class by chef Vito Mollica at Eataly Flatiron.

7 pm TASTE OF ITALY: Gala dinner at the Harvard Club of New York, with awards ceremony to recognize excellence in Italian and American companies and with the participation of Vittorio Grigolo, Andrea Pirlo and Vito Mollica.

Thursday, November 2

8:30 am, THINK OF ITALY: Workshop dedicated to Luxury & Fashion organized in collaboration with IB&II at the Down Town Association

11 am, THINK OF ITALY: Workshop dedicated to Sustainability & Good Institutions, organized in collaboration with IB&II at the Down Town Association

1 pm, TASTE OF ITALY: Cooking demo by chef Vito Mollica at the Urbani Truffles Academy, followed by a food experience.

4:30 pm, ART & SONG OF ITALY: Celebration concert by Cameristi della Scala and the great italian tenor Vittorio Grigolo in honour of Arturo Toscanini at the Guggenheim Museum Auditorium

6 pm, SONG OF ITALY: Encounter with Italian tenor Vittorio Grigolo at the Guggenheim Museum Auditorium.

7:30 pm TASTE…OF ITALY: Gala Charity Dinner, dedicated to Umbria at the Guggenheim Museum

Thursday 12th October, during the “32th Salone Franchising Milano” in Italy, will be held the convention “Franchise in USA: opportunities and strategies”, with a particular focus on the franchising industry in United States. 

Last year, for the first time, Italy showed their format in an International Pavilion at the International Franchise Expo in New York. Next year the appointment with “The Made in Italy Retail” is at Javits Center from May 31th to June 2th, 2018. 

The convention’s supervisor will be Alessio Gambino, CEO of IBS North America.
